Another positive fuel test with Triboron shows significantly lower diesel consumption also in older vehicles
Pressrelease16 March, 2022
Triboron International AB (publ) (“Triboron”), in collaboration with the leading British Test company Emissions Analytics, has conducted new Real Driving Emissions tests (official regulatory certification test within the EU) that show reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions even for vehicles of the Euro 4 standard.
Triboron has conducted another positive test in the line of several successful fuel tests with diesel vehicles. Together with Emission Analytics, an older Audi A5 with the Euro 4 classification was tested this time. The result showed an average fuel saving of 3.3 percent with a peak of 8.5 percent fuel savings in urban traffic. Both of these figures are statistically certain with over 99 percent confidence.
A large part of Europe’s vehicle fleet is still relatively outdated and does not meet the EU’s latest Euro 6 emissions standard. For example, about 20 percent of all vehicles in the UK do not meet more than the Euro 4 standard in terms of environmentally harmful emissions.
“Triboron has previously shown outstanding results in terms of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions under real-world conditions for Euro 5 and 6 vehicles. We can now show significant reductions also for older diesel cars, which is very positive considering that a significant part of the vehicle fleet does not meet new stricter emission requirements,” says Pär Krossling, CEO of Triboron.
